Sergeant PP Barry welcomed everyone to the meeting and introduced PE Kyle ad the president for Meeting 3239 who officially opened the meeting and welcomed special guest, Guest Speaker for the evening, Belinda Jaeger. Apologies were received from Stan Roulston, John Lyons, Kim Potger, Leanne Clinch, Nathan Pengelley, Tom Kelly, Steve Barilla, Mark Forgie, Sia Fletcher

As there were no Notes from members and directors Kyle invited everyone to enjoy some fellowship over dinner.
After dinner Kyle introduced Sergeant Barry to present his session for the evening. The usual, sometimes funny, sometimes educational slides were well received by members. Wheel winners were Special Guest Belinda, who won 1st and 3rd prizes and PP Mike Williams.
Following the sergeant’s session Chair Kyle introduced Belinda Jaeger as the guest speaker. Belinda was sponsored by the RCG to attend the recent RYLA camp. Belinda introduced herself and told us a bit about her family. She lives on the family sheep and cropping farm in Eudunda. She is the second oldest of 6 siblings. Besides working on the farm Belinda works at the local IGA. Belinda has been a member of the Eudunda show society for several years and held positions of steward and show secretary. It was through her involvement in the show society that Belinda was introduced to the idea of attending RYLA as she aims to be Rural Youth Ambassador and RYLA would assist in building her leadership skills.
Belinda said she enjoyed the camp and certainly came away with much more self-confidence than when she went. She learned that everyone has different values but can work together. She learned resilience through completing a jigsaw puzzle. Although Belinda often completes the same size jigsaws at home, she said she would usually select puzzles with lots of contrasting colours so having one which had many pieces the same colour looked like it was going to be very hard. However, working together with others meant a fresh pair of eyes often found the required piece quickly. Another area Belinda felt she stretched herself was the bush dance in the evening. This was very much out of her comfort zone and she was reluctant to have a go but again working together to learn the steps gave her the confidence to have a go and she actually enjoyed the activity.
Since returning from the camp Belinda has applied to be part of the Rural ambassador program and has received a promotion to a supervisor position at the supermarket. Belinda said both are a direct result of the self-confidence and leadership skills she gained at RYLA.
Belinda thanked the club for giving her the opportunity to attend and would recommend other young people apply.
At the conclusion of her presentation Belinda held a short Q& A session for members.  then President Anthony thanked Belinda and presented her with her certificate explaining that as per Gawler Rotary tradition a contribution had been made in her name to vaccinate 45 children.
In his closing address Pres Anthony reminded members that next week there will be no guest speaker, but committees and board will be held.
He asked members to make sure they had the Air Show and Relay for life in their diaries.
Pres Anthony then closed the meeting with the members reciting four Way test.
