Sergeant Barry Stewart introduced Chair for the evening PP Steve who opened meeting 3154 and welcomed members especially Bath Hudman and Wayne Murphy who were returning after illness.
There being no Spots this week Rotarians were invited to enjoy some fellowship while enjoying the meal.
After the main course Steve asked members to welcome Barry for his regular Sergeants session.
PP Colin Bazeley was our wheel spinner tonight with winners of chocolates being Barry and PP Ron Lloyd, Barry initially accepted the prize but then asked for redraw and donated them back with Kim being the appreciative winner!
A joyful rendition of Happy Birthday was sung to Trish who was celebrating her birthday on the night. Birthday congratulations were also given to Deb Williams for the 7th and Ros Edmunds for the 9th.
Barry also asked members to give a huge thank you to President kathy who bought Easter Eggs for each member.
PP Steve took the microphone once again to discuss the final plans for the air show as there would not be a meeting in between.
- This year they are expecting around 4,000 people.
- More stall holders including extra food vendors.
- We can have access to site on Saturday to set up and security will be present over night.
- It is going to be very fast paced so jobs will be assigned, and team leaders (chiefs) will be announced so everyone knows what they are doing!
- According to the list we have around 30 volunteers including members and friends.
- We will sell:
- Hot Dogs with the lot $7
- Plain hot dog $5
- Steak Sandwiches $7
- Drinks $3
- We will use a coloured card ordering system of which we had a demonstration!
- We have new signs professionally made to put above the marquee.
- Steve will have the tickets and we will meet at the gate at 8am to collect.
- Hopefully the weather will be kind, but the air show committee will make a final decision three days prior.
- Pres Kathy asked for the completed risk assessment forms to be sent to her.
After a few questions from members Steve invited Kathy to make closing announcements and officially close the meeting.
Pres Kathy said John had attended his PECs training on the weekend and she had also attended the district assembly. Kathy announced Steve McLaughlin as the next Area 6 District Governor.
Kathy then closed meeting 3154 with the four-way test.
