Almoner PP Mike Williams
- Follow up re Jean Lloyd-now home after her recent stay in hospital but progressing very slowly. Please call for a chat rather than visit at this stage (give Ron time to answer the phone!)
- We are having trouble still sourcing kids’ entertainment e.g., jumping castle for the Village fair, lots of people saying they are interested but no one getting back except a few to say they are unable to help.
Geoff Bennier
- Placed flyers around the tables re Christmas sale and Morning tea being held at the Uniting Church on Saturday 11th November 9:30am-1:30pm to raise funds for Parkinson’s Disease through the Hospital Research Foundation.
PP Mark Smeaton
- Presented PP Mike Williams with his double sapphire Paul Harris pin which mark initially received during Marks term as president 2 years ago. However, it had to be returned because he received the wrong pin.
- PP Mike explained how people could earn the pin including direct donations and encouraged everyone to make the voluntary $100 donation to the Centurion club on their invoice.
PP Steve Barilla
- Organisation still on track for Village fair.
- Gawler Light have once again taken the responsibility of the Youth Art show.

- EVERYONE needs to help on the day-Just do what you are capable.
Cahir Steve then invited everyone to enjoy fellowship over dinner.
After dinner Steve welcomed Barry to present his sergeants session.
The wheel spin winners were Kyle, Pres John, and Ian Nys.
Barry then presented the Bunyip Roundup and Facebook funnies and as usual lots of friendly banter and laughs ensued.
Due to the absence of the scheduled guest speaker, Chair Steve shared the Mike asking Rotarians and Guests to share a funny or unbelievable story. Lots of laughs were had after listening to incredulous and embarrassing stories form their peers. Steve then handed the meeting back to Pres John.
John invited Kyle Smith to come forward and inducted him into the Rotary Club of Gawler. Kyle is Dr Eastick’s Grandson and was nominated by long term Rotarian Past President Lance Hatcher.
The club is delighted to welcome Kyle who will ensure the Eastick Family will be part of Rotary for many years to come.
President John again thanked Bruce’s family for joining for the evening.
Pres John then closed meeting 3179 with the four-way test.
